OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
RAMESH HATHIRAMANI GROUP CHAIRMAN
Ramesh Hathiramani is the pioneer Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dana Airlines Limited since 2006. He has an extensive background in international business with roots firmly planted in Nigeria. Born here, he is the third generation of his family with ties to West Africa.
Ramesh commenced his own trading operations in 1973 and since then his business enterprise and acumen have resulted into a well-diversified group of companies. Dana Airlines Limited is indeed delighted to have a Chairman with deep understanding of the business environment and innovations which have brought the company a long way to rank as one of the topmost airlines in the industry within the short period of the commencement of operations.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors and Nigeria-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is an honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has served as a Director on the Boards of Directors of Prestige Assurance Plc and Wema Bank Plc. Ramesh Hathiramani currently serves as Chairman on the Boards of some other companies including Dana Group of Companies Plc. .
He is also actively involved in philanthropic missions and serves as the international Chairperson for Africa for the SSIO - an international charity organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the impoverished and underprivileged and building schools and hospitals that provide free education and healthcare to those in need.
JACKY HATHIRAMANI GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO
Jacky Hathiramani, the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Dana Airlines and now the Group Managing Director/CEO of Dana Group of Companies, is a Nigerian born in Jos, Plateau state. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the European Business School of London, and sits on the board of several blue chip companies and PLCs.
Jacky started his career in the manufacturing industry where he was appointed as an Executive Director of Ashmina Limited in 1998. He led major business transformation in the company which led to his appointment as Group Managing Director. He has been responsible for strategic development and expansion of the Group which has evolved into a multi-billion dollar conglomerate with interests in key sectors of the Nigerian economy including transportation, steel and aviation.
Jacky’s drive and passion for quality service led to the establishment of Dana Air in 2006. The introduction of the airline and its redefining role in the aviation industry, offering world-class customer and in-flight service, with an on-time performance that is still unrivalled, earned Jacky multiple CEO of the year awards.
Jacky's superior business performance and innovations have enabled the company achieve commendable market share and the recognition as one of Nigeria’s Most Respected Companies.
Dana Air was selected for an airline partnership with the Imo State Government in 2016, to provide jobs for indigenes of the state, boost tourism and diversify the economy of the state.
He married Amisha Chellaram and they now have 2 young sons.
GAUTAM HATHIRAMANI GROUP DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
Gautam Hathiramani is the Deputy Managing Director of Dana Group of Companies. He is a Nigerian, born in Jos, Plateau State, and holds a degree in Business Administration with Italian Language from the European Business School, London. Gautam joined the Board of Directors of the Dana Air in November, 2006.
His early internships included jobs at the Economics Department of Lehman Brothers, UK, and practical manufacturing experience at a pharmaceuticals manufacturing company in India. Later, joining Dana Group in Nigeria as an Executive Director and then as Deputy Managing Director of the Dana Pharmaceutical division, where he pioneered the company’s foray into the FMCG field of bottled water and plastic wares. Both of these raised the bar of industrial standards by being the first in their field to attain international ISO standards and quality audits.
His wealth of experience in International Trade and Pharmaceutical manufacturing have earned the Group both local and international laurels. He has a depth of experience built on practical insights and analytical skills, which he has brought into play in his contribution to the strategic growth of Dana Group and its subsidiaries.
Gautam is a member of the Young Professionals Organisation and has served on the board of other PLCs in Nigeria in various capacities. He is married to Kanika Kapoor.
FRANCIS OGBORO NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTOR
Francis Ogboro was appointed to the Board of Directors of Dana Airlines Limited as a Non – Executive Director on 27thSeptember, 2012. He is a well-established and successful businessman with investment in the Oil & Gas industry, Telecoms, Pharmaceuticals, Leisure, Trading and FMCG among others. He is also a Non - Executive Director of Dana Group of Companies Plc.
Francis Ogboro bagged a Diploma in Banking from the Associate Institute of Bankers, South West, London College and holds a Certificate in Administrative Management from South West College, London. He is the new Chairman of SGS Inspection Services Nigeria and the President of Nigeria Polo Federation.
ADEDOLAPO ATEKOJA NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTOR
Adedolapo Atekoja is a Non-Executive Director of Dana Airlines Limited. He joined the Board of Directors of the Company on 27th March, 2007.
He had an extensive experience in banking. His areas of expertise span business and financial strategy, design and implementation. He was the former Managing Director of Equitorial Trust Bank Limited and has over twenty years’ experience in the Nigerian banking sector.
Atekoja is a Management Consultant and currently the Managing Director of Hudley Consulting Limited. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Dana Group of Companies Plc.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and he is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
